Group Data Collection

Overview
The Group Data Collection workspace contains general information on the group at large. Most data in this workspace rarely, if ever, changes. Two exceptions are the starting and ending dates of the reporting fiscal year, GEN-1.2 and GEN.1.3, respectively, that change annually.

The Group Data Collection workspace can be found at Pillar 2 | Group Data Collection. The workspace is displayed as follows, for example:
Changing the Start and End Dates of the Reporting Fiscal Year
To change the starting and ending dates of the reporting fiscal year, GEN-1.2 and GEN.1.3, do one of the following:
- Click the calendar button on the respective row, and select a new date from the calendar.
- Manually enter a date, using the format YYYY-MM-DD.
Changes in this section only become effective after clicking the Save button at the top of the page.
Entering Data for the Group Data Collection
Enter the following data:

GEN-1 MNE Group General Information
Enter the following:
- Name of the MNE group
- Start date of the reporting fiscal year
- End date of the reporting fiscal year
- The state of the amended return
GEN-2 MNE General Accounting Information
Enter the following:
- Consolidated financial statements of the UPE (ultimate parent entity)
- Financial Accounting Standard used for the Consolidated Financial Statements of the UPE
- Presentation currency used for the Consolidated Financial Statements of the UPE
GEN-3 Report Information
Enter the following:
- Transmitting and receiving country
- Warnings or contact information
GEN-4 Filing Information
Select the filing constituent entity and the role of the filing constituent entity.
GEN-5 Additional Information
Enter ad-hoc additional explanations on the GIR (GloBE information return).
