Collecting Data

Overview

Once the basic configuration is complete, administrators can start data collection processes. This section covers how to bundle form templates into reporting packages, initiate data collection, and how users enter, validate, and approve their data.

The data collection workflow involves the following steps:

  • Start data collection process: Define the reporting period, set deadlines, and start the process to create forms for reporting entities.
  • Enter data: Collectors enter data into their assigned forms manually or by importing from Excel or Consolidation & Financial Planning.
  • Validate data: Run validation rules to check data accuracy and completeness before submission.
  • Approve data: Approvers review and approve submitted forms.
