Overview

This page contains information about the structure of the user interface and the most important elements in Lucanet Income Taxes.

Structure of the User Interface

When you first open Income Taxes from your main menu, you will see the Lucanet Income Taxes application window.

In the menu, the various functional areas are displayed along with their workspaces and any folders and/or forms they may contain.

The following elements are available in the user interface: 


Element

Description


Menu

The menu contains functional areas, workspaces, folders, and forms, and is used to navigate between the individual elements of Income Taxes.

The menu can be shown or hidden using the button.


Functional areas, folders

Functional areas and folders group together related workspaces and forms. A folder can include other folders.


Workspaces

Workspaces are the elements you can work on, enter, import, and edit data, figures, and other information.


Detail view

Details of a workspace. What is displayed in the detail view depends on which workspace has been chosen.

 


Search

Searches for workspaces or forms.

 


Forms

Forms correspond to the templates of the tax administration and must be completed for the purpose of electronic tax returns.


Structure of Income Taxes

Income Taxes is divided into the following functional areas:


Functional area

Description


Master Data

Maintenance of master data (e.g., countries, tax rates, companies, balance sheet structure, users, interfaces, etc.)


Company

Operational core area (calculation of current and deferred taxes) at the company level


(Sub-) Group

Group overview and organizational functions (e.g., consolidation for consolidated financial statements)


Reporting

Analysis area with various reports. You can also create individual reports in this area.


Further functional areas are displayed if additional modules (e.g., the Tax Questionnaire module) are licensed in addition to the base module. Information about available modules can be found under Modules and Additional Functions in Income Taxes.

General vs. Specific Functions in Income Taxes

In the workspaces of Income Taxes, both general and specific functions are available. General functions are available in many workspaces, e.g., adding comments, saving, export to Excel, etc.
