LUCANET Formulas

Overview
To allow MS Excel to access Lucanet data, specific, precisely-defined formulas must be entered in the corresponding Excel cells. The formulas are similar to Excel formulas and always consist of a formula name as well as required and optional parameters.

Structure of LUCANET Formulas
The general structure for LUCANET formulas is as follows:
=LN.FORMULA NAME("Parameter_1","Parameter_2",...,"Parameter_x")
Rules for LUCANET Formulas
The following rules must be followed in LUCANET formulas:
- Parameter must be specified in quotation marks.
- Parameters are separated by a semicolon.
Note: The parameters are separated with the list separator specified under Regional and Language Options in the Windows Control Panel. If your company uses different language versions of Windows, you must use a semicolon instead of a comma. - No distinction is made between upper case and lower case.
- Cell links can be used in a LUCANET formula.
- Cell links are separated using a comma.
Meaning of the Formula Elements
In a LUCANET formula, the formula name specifies the type of information to be queried. The parameters used determine the data or values to be queried. Depending on the structure of the formula this is how different values and information can be queried from Lucanet.
The data that can be queried with LUCANET formulas are:
- Values
- Exchange rates
- Comments
- Attributes
