Overview
In the Configuration workspace, you can choose interfaces to be used for a period-independent, automated export.
You specify whether and at what event an automated export is to be created in the Structure workspace under Precondition for export .
- An automated export is available only for interfaces with the Export direction and the Custom Report interface type.
- The Configuration workspace is required only for this use case. In all other cases, interfaces are defined on a period-dependent basis in the Structure workspace.
Choosing an Interface for Automated Export
The Configuration workspace is displayed, for example, as follows:
To configure an interface for automated export, specify the following:

| Period | Tax return period for which the automated export is to be created |
| Export-Templates | This entry is not required and can be left empty. |
| Export Interfaces | Selection of the export interface to be used for the automated export of a report. Only interfaces with the Export direction and of type Custom Export are available for selection, for which preconditions for export have been defined in the Structure workspace. |
All other fields in the Configuration workspace are not relevant and do not need to be configured.
