Come and explore the latest features and improvements of our Tax Administration module!

The versions of all solutions that you are currently using and those of the CFO Solution Platform are displayed when you select About Lucanet from the Help section in the CFO Solution Platform.

Apart from bug fixes and performance enhancements, the release contains the following new features:

The Add unit option (formerly Create link) in the Organisational structures workspace has been revised. The parent unit field is shown directly in the form, all available units are selectable from a dropdown menu, and structures are saved in a single step. In the Units workspace, the German tax number field has been renamed to Tax Identification Number / Steueridentifikationsnummer and values can now be added regardless of the unit's country. Unit IDs accept common punctuation (., ,, /, -), and units with identical names but different IDs can coexist (for example, for permanent establishments).

The Excel templates for importing units and structures now include a separate sheet with format specifications, permitted values, mandatory-field markers, and a sample row, so master data can be prepared without referencing external documentation. The Excel export for units in the Units workspace matches the import template format: you can download the export, edit it, and re-import the file to update existing units in bulk. On re-import, existing units are recognized by ID and updated rather than created again.

The Currencies and Reporting dimensions workspaces in Master data are hidden while they are not in use.

Certificates in the Certificates workspace and in the user profile are now archived instead of permanently deleted when you click the Bin icon. Archived certificates remain available for traceability of past submissions but cannot be selected for new submissions.

When creating or editing a DIP certificate, you can now choose the Identity provider used for authentication: BZSt Cert or ELSTER, both supported by the BZSt for the digital inbox. The form then shows the matching identifier field, BZSt-Nummer or Steuernummer.

Apart from bug fixes and performance enhancements, the release contains the following new features:

The administration of certificates has been enhanced as follows:

  • You can now edit certificates, i.e. change description, password, and certificate file of existing certificates. If a certificate has expired, you do not have to delete it, but you can upload a new certificate file, and optionally change description or password.
  • You can create and manage multiple certificates per user for all supported certificate types (ELSTER and DIP). The certificate list in the Certificates workspace displays all certificates with clear identification, e.g. name, creation date, validity period.

Please note: Support for ELMA certificates has been removed, as the ELMA interface of the BZSt (German Federal Central Tax Office) was shut down on November 25, 2025; no transmissions are possible via this interface anymore. When creating a new certificate, the option to choose ELMA is no longer available. Existing ELMA certificates have been removed or archived as part of the change.

Apart from bug fixes and performance enhancements, the release contains the following new features:

Tax Administration now prevents multiple users from importing units simultaneously by locking the import process. Enhanced validation checks detect common errors, such as missing mandatory fields, invalid date ranges, and circular relationships.

The import of company structures has been enhanced as follows:

  • You can now import complete organizational structures from Excel files. The import wizard guides you through uploading company structures and tax group structures, validating relationships between entities, and detecting errors before saving.
  • When importing organizational structures, Tax Administration now supports module-specific structure types. Whenever you download import templates or upload structure files, Tax Administration adapts fields and validation rules based on the selected structure type.

You can now classify companies as natural persons and mark companies as external entities. The company master data includes a new legal form option for natural persons and a check box to identify companies as external entities. This enables you to distinguish between group companies and external parties, improving data organization and reporting accuracy for consolidation purposes.

DIP (Digitaler Posteingang, digital inbox) certificates now support multiple BZST account IDs. You can enter comma-separated account IDs in the new account field, allowing you to associate one certificate with multiple accounts.
