Required keywords are needed in order for Lucanet to recognize that it is an import. They are entered in column A or the Column definition row.

The following keywords are required and must be contained in MS Excel in column A.

Name of the import

Important: If an Excel import with this name already exists on the data level and in the reporting entity, it will be overwritten!

Name of the reporting entity or the consolidation area for which the import is to be executed

Name of the data level into which the import is to be performed

Name of the adjustment level on which the posting is to be performed

Determines what can be found in each column (see next table)

Date by which the postings are to be created or the values imported

To enable Lucanet to identify which data are to be imported, one of the two keywords must be specified in column A. It is also possible to specify both keywords together as frequently as desired and in any order.

Together with the Value column, the keywords Posting and Auto posting form a matrix structure whose interfaces define the values to be imported.

For postings on a planning data level for which the automatic contra entry is defined in Lucanet.

Note: The keyword Auto posting can only be used when importing data into reporting entities.

For postings of one-off or rare business transactions.

Note: To ensure an integrated balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow statement at this time, only complete postings can be imported into Lucanet. The following applies for every column containing postings: Debit = credit.

By entering the Auto posting keyword, Lucanet recognizes that the delivered account description is for an account for which a contra entry has been defined in the Lucanet journal. This contra entry is listed automatically.

You can use the Posting keyword to reflect business transactions with the Excel workbook LUCANET in Lucanet. These postings can also be made directly in Lucanet via a manual posting.

The following keywords are required and must be included in the Column definition row in MS Excel.

KeywordParameter
AccountDefines that this column contains the account/item descriptions for the import
ValueDefines that the column contains the values to be imported
DebitThis keyword can be used instead of the keyword Value in order to assign additional information to the corresponding value, indicating that it is a debit value.

Optional keywords are used to import further information.
