# Lucanet XBRL Tagger

## What does the Lucanet XBRL Tagger solution offer?

With the **Lucanet XBRL Tagger**, you tag your annual report and convert it to an iXBRL report package (Inline eXtensible Business Reporting Language), without an implementation project and without IT skills. The XBRL Tagger supports you in creating reports subject to an iXBRL mandate, including ESEF (European Single Electronic Format) reporting, which is mandatory for listed companies in the EU. The relevant taxonomies are already set up in predefined **reporting requirements**, and you can transfer a mapping you have created once to the following year.

For more information, see [XBRL Tagger](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/xbrl-tagger.md).

## Do I need a separate license to access the XBRL Tagger solution?

Yes, the **Lucanet XBRL Tagger** solution requires a separate license. The XBRL Tagger can take over documents directly from Lucanet Disclosure Management. To acquire a license, get in touch with your Lucanet contact or use the [contact form](https://www.lucanet.com/en/contact/) on Lucanet's website.

## Which documents can I tag in the Lucanet XBRL Tagger?

The Lucanet XBRL Tagger supports Word documents (DOCX) and PDF files (PDF). In the **Dashboard**, you use the **Create new tagging file** button to either upload a document from your computer or take it over directly from Lucanet Disclosure Management. When you upload a PDF file, you can optionally add a PDF mapping file (PDF.MAPPING) with the same base name to apply predefined XBRL mappings.

For more information, see [Dashboard](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/xbrl-tagger/dashboard-xbrltagger.md).

## Which requirements must a Word document meet for tagging in the XBRL Tagger?

For the Lucanet XBRL Tagger to tag a Word document correctly and convert it to XHTML, the document must meet the following requirements:

- The document is structured with styles such as **Heading 1** and **Heading 2**.
- All tables to be tagged are normal Word tables and not embedded Excel tables or images.
- Embedded Office objects, such as charts from MS Excel or MS PowerPoint, are converted to images.
- The document does not use a two-column text layout.

For more information, see [Preparing a Word File](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/xbrl-tagger/basic-configuration-xbrltagger/prepare-word-file.md).

## Can I reuse the tags from the previous year or from an earlier document version in the XBRL Tagger?

Yes. When you upload a new version of an already tagged document in the Lucanet XBRL Tagger using **Import new file version**, the XBRL Tagger automatically transfers the existing tags to the new version (**roll-forward**). In the **Tag Update Preview**, you then review each transferred tag and confirm or reject it before you apply the changes to the document.

For more information, see [Using the Tag Update Preview](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/xbrl-tagger/xbrl-document/tag-update-preview.md).

## Why don't I see any AI features in the XBRL Tagger?

The AI features of the Lucanet XBRL Tagger, such as the **Tagger Agent**, are only available if a valid AI license exists and the AI features are activated in the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform. Only a user with the **License Manager** role can activate the AI features. If you want to use the AI features in the XBRL Tagger, contact a user with the **License Manager** role.

For more information, see [Tagging a Document with AI](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/xbrl-tagger/xbrl-document/ai-tagging.md) and [Activating and deactivating the AI features](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/administration/platform-management/licenses.md#activating-and-deactivating-the-ai-features).

## When do I need to create a taxonomy extension in the XBRL Tagger?

In the Lucanet XBRL Tagger, you create a taxonomy extension for company-specific disclosures for which the standard taxonomy does not contain a suitable element. A taxonomy extension is only permitted if the core element of the taxonomy would lead to a misrepresentation. You must link each taxonomy extension to the core taxonomy by **anchoring**. Each taxonomy extension can have one **wide anchor** and any number of **narrow anchors**.

For more information, see [Creating a Taxonomy Extension](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/xbrl-tagger/xbrl-document/xbrltagger-extend-taxonomy.md).

## Which file from the XBRL Tagger do I need to submit to the responsible authority?

You generally submit the complete report package file (XBRI) that the Lucanet XBRL Tagger creates when it generates the report to the responsible authority. Submitting only the report file (XHTML) it contains is not sufficient. The additional Excel files in the ZIP package, such as the **validation report** and the **calculation report**, are intended only for internal purposes.

For more information, see [Generating an XBRL Report Package](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/xbrl-tagger/generate-ixbrl.md).

## Why does the calculation report of the XBRL Tagger show invalid calculations?

The **calculation report** of the Lucanet XBRL Tagger usually shows invalid calculations for one of the following two reasons:

- **Rounding errors**: Adjust the values in the document.
- **Wrong sign**: Change the sign in the **XBRL document** workspace in the properties of the tag in the **Sign logic** field on the **Monetary** tab.

For more information, see [Generating an XBRL Report Package](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/xbrl-tagger/generate-ixbrl.md).

## How can I see in the XBRL Tagger which tags have already been checked?

In the Lucanet XBRL Tagger, each tag has a color-coded **status** that you use to track the progress of the tagging. The following tag statuses are available in the Lucanet XBRL Tagger:

- **Tag in progress**: The tagging has not yet been completed.
- **Tag must be checked**: The tag is waiting to be checked, for example because it was tagged in Lucanet Disclosure Management.
- **Tag completed**: The tag has been checked and accepted.

You change the status using the **Change status** context menu, also for several tags at once.

For more information, see [Displaying and Editing the Status of Tags](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/xbrl-tagger/xbrl-document/tag-status.md).
