# Lucanet CFO Solution Platform

## What is the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform?

The **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform** is the new, web-based CPM software from Lucanet, which offers a seamless, uniform UX with shared functions for all the [solutions](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/glossary.md#solution) you run on it. **Solution** is the word Lucanet uses for applications that can run on the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform. With Lucanet 24.1, the following solutions are available:

- **Lucanet Consolidation & Financial Planning** for web-based access to data from Lucanet. **Financial OLAP Server** with numerous editing and reporting options
- **Lucanet ESG Reporting** for the company-wide calculation of CO2 emissions and collection of [ESG](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/glossary.md#esg-reporting) data in accordance with the current [ESRS](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/glossary.md#esrs) provisions of the EU
- **Lucanet Disclosure Management** for the creation of business reports in various formats, for example in [iXBRL](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/glossary.md#ixbrl) format, including [ESEF](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/glossary.md#esef) and ESG.

## What changes will there be to Lucanet.Web Client?

Lucanet 24.1 replaces Lucanet. **Web Client** with the **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform**. Lucanet. **Web Client** and Lucanet. **Web Server** will therefore no longer be available with Lucanet 24.1. The previous functions of Lucanet. **Web Client** have been moved to the **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform** solution **Lucanet Consolidation & Financial Planning**.

## How can Lucanet.Cloud customers access the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform?

Lucanet. **Cloud** customers with an SaaS contract will be able to access the **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform** and use the previous functions as well as the new options of the **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform** after updating to Lucanet 24.1. Separate licensing is required to use the new options, referred to as the solutions for **ESG Reporting** and **Disclosure Management**.

Lucanet. **Cloud** customers who have a maintenance and support agreement with us will **no longer be able** to use Lucanet.Web Client after updating to Lucanet 24.1. Instead, they will need to switch to a SaaS contract so they can access the **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform**.

## How can Lucanet-On-Premises customers access the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform?

Lucanet-On-Premises customers with a maintenance and support contract must switch to Lucanet. **Cloud** and an SaaS contract to access the **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform**.

Lucanet-On-Premises customers with a rental contract must switch to Lucanet. **Cloud** to access the **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform**.

## Do I need a local installation to use the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform?

No. The **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform** is a SaaS product **(SaaS = software as a service)** – this means that it is hosted and managed centrally, and does not require on-premises installation of a server or client.

## How do I open the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform?

The **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform** is automatically available to Lucanet. **Cloud** customers with an SaaS contract after updating to Lucanet 24.1. After updating to Lucanet 24.1 or as soon as a new user is created, the users first receive an e-mail with the initial access data and the URL to the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform to define a password. Once they have set a password, users can start up the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform as follows:

- In the **Extras** menu in Lucanet.Financial Client
- Directly by clicking the link in the e-mail containing the initial access data

## Do I need to log in separately to each of the solutions on the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform?

No. Users only need to log into the **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform** once, not separately for each different solution.

## How does user management work in the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform?

The **administration** of the **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform** serves as a central point for the administration of users, user roles, and superordinate permissions. You can create users and define access types and user roles for specific solutions in the user management area. Users on the **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform** are automatically synchronized with Lucanet.Financial Client. This means that any changes made to a user on the **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform** are automatically transferred to Lucanet.Financial Client.

## What browsers does the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform support?

The **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform** supports the following browsers:

- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Apple Safari
- Mozilla Firefox

We officially support only the latest versions of each web browser. However, the **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform** will most likely work for older versions as well.

Other browsers may be supported, but Lucanet only guarantees support for the specified browsers.

No, you don’t need any browser add-ins to use the **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform**.

## Can the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform be used on all operating systems?

The **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform** can be used on Microsoft Windows, Linux and macOS without restrictions.

## How can I check the version of my CFO Solution Platform and solutions?

You can access detailed version information for all your licensed Lucanet solutions and platform services through the **About Lucanet** dialog, which is accessible via the **Help** option in the main menu. Expand each solution and Platform Services to view the subcomponent versions. This information is read-only and can be copied for reference.

## What is a Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) and how do I access it?

A Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) is a comprehensive list of all the components contained in a software application, including open-source and third-party elements. SBOMs typically include information on component names, versions, licences and dependencies. The Lucanet CFO Solution Platform provides detailed SBOM documentation to improve security, transparency, and compliance. This information is exclusively available to administrators via the **Help | About Lucanet** option in the main menu.

## What is the password policy on the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform?

To ensure account security, the following password policies are in place:

**Password Lifecycle:**

- Passwords expire after **90 days**.
- New passwords cannot match any of your **previous 5 passwords**.
- Password changes are limited to **twice per day**.
- You will receive advance notifications **30, 14, 7, and 1 day(s)** before your password expires.

**Password Requirements:**

When creating a new password, it must be at least **14 characters** long and contain characters from at least **3 of 4 categories** (uppercase, lowercase, numbers, special characters).

**For existing users:** You can continue using your current password. The new requirements apply when you voluntarily change your password, use the **Forgot Password** feature, or when your password expires.

## Why was my account locked?

After **5 consecutive incorrect login attempts**, your account is automatically locked for **30 minutes** to prevent unauthorized access. If you need to access your account immediately, you can use the **Forgot your password** option to reset your password.

## How often can I change my password?

You can change your password up to **twice per day**. This limit prevents rapid password cycling and ensures the password history policy is effective. If you've already changed your password twice today, you can change it again starting from **00:00 (midnight).**
