# User Roles in Lease Accounting

## Overview

The role-based permission system in Lease Accounting enables administrators to control access to specific functions and data within the solution with the following six predefined roles:

- **Data collector**
- **Executive reviewer**
- **Lease operations administrator**
- **Auditor**
- **Settings administrator**
- **Full access administrator**

By assigning appropriate roles to users, you can optimize workflows, increase data security, and provide tailored user experiences that align with operational requirements.

## Assigning User Roles

Use the **Administration** section of the **Lucanet CFO Solution Platform** to assign user roles (see [User Management](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/administration/user-management.md)).

## Access to Reporting Entities

In addition to the user role, you can define which reporting entities a user can access. The user then only works with the data of these reporting entities.

By default, a user with a user role for Lease Accounting can access all reporting entities. The reporting entities are assigned in the **Administration** section of the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform (see [Assigning Reporting Entities to Lease Accounting Users](https://support.lucanet.com/en/documentation/administration/user-management/users/assigning-reporting-entities.md)).

If a user can only access some reporting entities, Lucanet Lease Accounting offers only these reporting entities in the reporting entity selection of the function bar and in the **Reporting entities** drop-down lists, for example, when creating reports or exporting postings. The **Created files** workspace displays only the files that the user has full access to. If a file includes several reporting entities, the user must be assigned to all of these reporting entities to see the file.

## Available User Roles

Lucanet Lease Accounting provides six distinct user roles, each with specific permissions across the solution's functional areas:

### Data Collector

The **Data collector** role is designed for users responsible for gathering and entering lease contract information into the system.

Data collector has the following permissions:

### Executive Reviewer

The **Executive Reviewer** role is intended for users who oversee lease accounting processes, approve critical operations, and perform final steps including posting.

Executive reviewer has the following permissions:

### Lease Operations Administrator

The **Lease operations administrator** role is designed for users who manage day-to-day lease accounting operations with extensive functional access, comprising the permissions of both Data collector and Executive reviewer roles.

### Settings Administrator

The **Settings administrator** role is specialized for users responsible for system configuration and maintenance.

Settings administrator has the following permissions:

### Full Access Administrator

The **Full access administrator** role provides the highest level of system access for comprehensive administration. Full access administrators can create, assign, update, and manage users for the **Lease Accounting** solution from the **Administration** workspace in the platform.

Full Access Administrator has the following permissions:
