While allocations and adjustments are legally distinct concepts, from a technical perspective, cross-border adjustments work similar to tax allocations and FTE & PE allocations.

Cross-border adjustments can be imported as part of the allocations import, but the adjustments can also be manually created. The Cross-border Adjustments workspace is used to create cross-border adjustments between the CE that is subject to the adjustment and the CE or member of a Joint Venture (JV) group. The transferred values affect the CE calculation in the fields INC-2.13 and CT-2.17.

In this article, the CE that is subject to the adjustment is called source CE, and the CE or member of a JV group is called the target CE.

Select the source CE from the Company drop-down menu.

Click Create.

In the subsequently displayed Allocation Detail dialog, select the following for your new adjustment:

Enter an amount for the reduction of the GloBE income of the CE that created this adjustment.
