# Collecting Financial Data

## Overview

In the **Financial Data** workspace, users can collect and manage financial data required for [EU Taxonomy](https://support.lucanet.cloud/en/documentation/glossary.md#eu-taxonomy) reporting, i.e.:

- **Baseline values**, i.e. revenue, capital expenditure (CapEx), and operational expenditure (OpEx) **of the reporting entity**
- **Business activity values**, i.e. revenue, capital expenditure (CapEx), and operational expenditure (OpEx) **of each business activity**

Based on this information, investors and external stakeholders will get deeper insights on how sustainable a company is.

In the **Financial Data** workspace, users can access the financial data overview to see all EU Taxonomy reports and their assigned reporting entities.

**ESG Data Collectors** can navigate to the individual pages of **reporting entity financial data** to collect and manage financial data, and collect baseline values and account information for each reporting entity and for eligible business activities based on eligibility and alignment assessments

**ESG Administrators** can monitor the status of financial data collection in read-only mode.

## Navigation

The **Financial Data** workspace is part of the **EU Taxonomy** folder and provides an overview of the data collection status for each reporting entity. The individual data collection page for the financial data is displayed as follows, for example:

## Statuses for Financial Data Collection

After having specified financial data, the ESG Reporting solution automatically assesses the completion status and displays the corresponding icon next to the title of the reporting entity. The following statuses are possible:

| Option | Description |
|---------|---------|
| | **Completed**, i.e. baseline values and all business activity sections are marked as **Completed**. |
| | **In progress**, i.e. one or more sections have not been completed yet. |
