# Drill Down in Ledgers and Schedules

## Overview

For [items](https://support.lucanet.cloud/en/documentation/glossary.md#item) and [accounts](https://support.lucanet.cloud/en/documentation/glossary.md#account), **drill down** can be used to define how subordinate items or postings are displayed.

## Executing a Drill Down

To execute a drill down for an item or account:

Right-click the desired item or account and choose **Drill down** from the context menu.

## Drill Downs for Accounts and Items

Depending on the element, the following drill downs are available:

#### By items (only for items)

This is the default drill down for **items**. All sub-items are displayed.

#### By items (only for items)

This is the default drill down for **items**. All sub-items are displayed.

#### By organization elements

This is the default drill down for **accounts**. The drill down by organization elements is displayed. The display depends on which organization element is selected in the dimension bar.

#### By adjustment levels

The drill down by adjustment levels is displayed. This drill down is only available if an adjustment level group is selected in the dimension bar.

#### By partners

The drill down by partners is displayed. This displays all partners for which postings have been made under the item.
