# Using Keyboard Shortcuts

## Overview

To accelerate operation and navigation, a range of shortcuts is available for different areas of the software in Consolidation & Financial Planning.

## Available Keyboard Shortcuts for Ledgers and Schedules

The following keyboard shortcuts are available for ledgers and schedules:

| Shortcut | Description |
|---------|---------|
| Ctrl + C or Alt + C | Copy |
| Ctrl + V or Alt + V | Insert |
| Alt + R | Inserting as reference |
| Ctrl + X or Alt + X | Cut |
| Tab | Skip to next cell |
| Shift + Tab | Skip to previous cell |
| ↓ | Navigate down |
| ↑ | Navigate up |
| **←** | Navigate to the left |
| **→** | Navigate to the right |
| Del | Delete |

## Available Keyboard Shortcuts for the Tree View

The following keyboard shortcuts are available for the tree view:

| Shortcut | Description |
|---------|---------|
| Strg + C or Alt + C | Copy element |
| Strg + V or Alt + V | Paste element |
| Alt + R | Paste element as reference |
| Strg + X or Alt + X | Cut element |
| Tab | Go to next element |
| Shift + Tab | Go to previous element |
| ↓ | Navigate down |
| ↑ | Navigate up |
| **←** | Collapse element |
| **→** | Expand element |
| Del | Delete |

The following keyboard shortcuts are available for the period window:

| F9 | Open the period window |
| Space | Change periodicity |

| **→** | Move to the right |
| Enter | Save settings |

## Available Keyboard Shortcuts for Drop-down Menus

The following keyboard shortcuts are available for navigating and selecting elements in drop-down menus::

| Space | Opens the drop-down menu |
