# General Functions in Banking & Cash Management
## Overview
On this page, you will find information about the general functions in **Lucanet Banking & Cash Management (BCM)**. Although each workspace offers its own functions, some fundamental functions are available across different workspaces.
## Functions of the Toolbar in the Detail View
The functions of the toolbar in the detail view depend on the currently open workspace. However, some functions apply across multiple workspaces. The toolbar is displayed as follows, for example:

The following common functions are available:
| Function | Description |
|---|---|
| **Create, delete, clone records** | Creates the add icon, deletes the delete bcm icon, or clones the duplicate bcm icon records |
| **Show selected records in a report** | Displays the records selected in a list view, for example account statements, payments, or mandates, in a printable report view the report icon. In the preview, you can sort the columns in real time by clicking the column headers. The final printout or export uses the sort order you defined. |
| **Standard filter** | Filters the list view using the predefined standard list filters.
**Note:** You can apply additional filters based on any fields either using the custom list filters or via the filter row below the column headers (see [Functions in Tables](#functions-in-tables)). |
| **Add or edit filter** | Creates or edits custom list filters:
- **Add Filter** the add filter icon: Opens the **Add Filter** dialog, where you define the name, the filter criteria, and the visibility for all or selected users. After you confirm with **Save**, the view switches to the new filter.
- **Edit Filter** the edit filter icon: Opens the dialog for editing the currently applied filter.

| **Search** | Searches the search bcm icon for records in the current workspace |
| **Export file** | Exports the list view as a CSV, XLS, or XLSX file |
| **Import file** | Imports files the import account statements mt icon. The supported file formats depend on the respective workspace. |
| **Assign permission class** | Changes or assigns the permission class the access class icon for one or more records |
| **Share, refresh, or add page to favorites** | Shares the share page icon or refreshes the reload bcm icon the page or adds the page to your favorites the favorites bcm icon.
**Note:** The first favorite added is automatically displayed as the homepage after login. Once two or more favorites are available, you can adjust their order using the **Change favorite order** option, which is then automatically displayed. |
## Functions in Tables
The following functions are available in tables:
| Function | Description |
|---|---|
| **Configure columns** | Adjusts the columns of a table to optimize the view. When you right-click a column header, a context menu with the following options is displayed:
- **Sort Ascending**: Sorts the records by this column in ascending order
- **Sort Descending**: Sorts the records by this column in descending order
- **Group By This Column**: Groups the records by this column. You can also activate this function by dragging the column header into the grouping area above the table.
- **Hide Group By Box**: Hides the active grouping field and removes the grouping
- **Hide This Column**: Removes the column from the current list view
- **Column Chooser**: Enables you to display and hide columns in the list view
- **Filter Editor**: Opens the dialog for editing the filter criteria of the list view
- **Show Find Panel**: Activates the full-text search within the list view. To deactivate the search, click **Hide Find Panel**.
- **Hide Auto Filter Row**: Hides the filter row below the column headers
- **Hide Footer**: Hides the footer at the end of the list |
| **Sort** | Sorts a column in ascending or descending order when you click the column header. A small arrow indicates the current sorting: ascending the arrow up bcm icon or descending the arrow down icon. |
| **Filter** | Filters the table data according to various criteria. The headers of certain columns display a filter icon . When you click the filter icon, you can select one of the available filter options and narrow the view accordingly; which options are available depends on the respective column.
You can also enter a value in the filter row below the column header to filter the table for entries in that column. |
| **Check box** | When you activate a check box in the first column, you select the respective record; when you activate the check box in the column header, you select all records.
You can apply the available functions to the selected records. Some functions, for example **Clone**, are only available when a single record is selected; you can apply other functions, for example **Delete**, to multiple records at the same time. |
